How we work

Two attorneys, one file, no passing you around

Claire Hollis has practised family law in Ada and Canyon counties for nineteen years. Ben Arriaga works alongside her, and a paralegal keeps your paperwork moving. The person you speak to at the first meeting is the person who answers when you call.

We will tell you what your case is likely to cost, what a judge will care about, and what we think the realistic outcome is, even when it is not the answer you were hoping for.

Divorce

Contested and uncontested divorce

From the first filing to the final order, including parenting plans and the division of what you own.

Custody and support

Parenting plans children can live with

Custody, parenting time, child support and spousal support, set out in plain language you can follow.

After the order

Modifications and enforcement

When a job, a schedule or a child's needs change, we go back to court. Stepparent adoption too.

What it costs

A written fee estimate before any work begins

You should know what a divorce or a custody case will cost before you commit to one. We put the estimate in writing at the first meeting, and if something changes in the case we tell you before the bill changes.

The first consultation takes 30 minutes and is free, in person at the office or by video.

Divorce Custody Parenting plans Child support Property Modifications Adoption

A divorce ends. The arrangements it leaves behind are what your family lives with, so that is what we build.

Most family law cases settle before a judge decides them. We prepare each one as though it will be decided in court, then look for the agreement that gets you a better outcome than a ruling would.

I came in expecting to be talked at. Instead I got a list of what would happen next, and what it would cost. That was the first night I slept properly in months.

Our team

Two attorneys and a paralegal

You will work with Claire and Ben directly. Files are not passed to a call centre, and the paralegal who prepares your paperwork is the one you meet at the first appointment.
